SAN FRANCISCO, July 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP is investigating a data breach impacting the sensitive personal and health information of 62 million students and educators whose data was in the possession of PowerSchool, a California-based education technology company.

PowerSchool became aware of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized exfiltration from PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) environments through one of its customer support portals on or around December 28, 2024. The unauthorized actor had access to PowerSchool's data systems between December 19 and December 28, 2024.

According to the company's Data Breach Notice, the following personal and health information may have been stolen in the breach: names, addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers, medical information, and academic records.
